Sneed Adams > All lined up ready to go Thursday morning October 19th. The Texas Region Caravan to Natchez.
Sneed Adams > Looks like someone failed to proceed. What is wrong??? Loose wire on electric fuel pump.
Sneed Adams > Oops, did not get electric wire tight enough. Lost an hour trying to figure out what was really wrong and then how to tighten bakelite nuts on the fuel pump. The group can be seen looking for a lost washer from the carb fuel filter assembly.
Sneed Adams > More labor looking for lost gasket.
Sneed Adams > Friday morning lining up to drive to Natchez from St Francisville
Sneed Adams > Tough break for Phillip and his 1956 S1. When the car got to the shop they found that there were only 3 lug nuts on the left rear wheel. They were also not likely tightened as required. As a result, the left rear wheel started wobbling and ruined the wheel. This was the squealing and clunking noise we were hearing. The shop reported that the tire was about to fall off. And after all the precaution we took explaining to the AAA tow truck driver about where to place the hooks on the chassis to tow the car on to the flat bed wrecker it appears they used the steering linkage arms later during transfer to another wrecker and bent the arms.
